The Southern Section caravan weekend at Rivermead Holidays was great fun, although not as well supported as in previous years. The team had dinner at the Old Inn Pub & Restaurant, the only pub in St. Breward (the highest inn in Cornwall), but luckily the food was very good. They had a lovely day on Saturday, visiting Charlestown and Mevagissy, and had a wonderful welcome and delicious cream tea in Falmouth.

Sunday was a bit of a wash-out, but after a nice relaxing morning spent reading the papers we had a wander down to the General Stores for provisions and had lunch in Chris &Godfrey's chalet (cheese on toast for everyone, and a cheeky glass of red wine for Godders and Erica, G&T for Sarahnd beer for Roger).

Godders and Chris stayed on until the Monday, while Sarah, Roger and Erica made their way back in pouring rain, stopping off at Lifton Farm Shop for a cooked breakfast (thoroughly recommended). The weather eventually cleared up and whilst they had a partially sunny, partially rainy ride back via Dorchester - at least the traffic wasn't too bad. Put next year's Bank Holiday weekend in your diaries, as we will probably try and arrange another caravan weekend. another caravan weekend
